My name is John and I started Live Off Dividends in 2016 with the intention of inspiring, educating and helping anybody that I could. Personal finance has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest personal finance memories is dumping my piggy (frog) bank change on my parent’s living room floor to see if I had enough money to purchase the new video game that I wanted – not forgetting to add in the tax, of course. Live Off Dividends was also a way to keep myself accountable and a way to keep my desire to learn at its highest. Three years later, in 2019, I became financially independent. I was 25 at the time. Most of my passive income is from real estate and dividends. As of 2020, I am still working full time with the goal of fully retiring by 2028.
