Dividend Portfolio Update: March 2017

Things are finally starting to normalize for me and after this month things should be basically back to normal. I had a great month for dividends, my second best ever! I still have a lot of shifting to do within my portfolio and that should happen within the next few months.

Dividend Increases: 1 Increase

3M increased their dividend from $1.11 to $1.175 This was a 5.85% increase. This increase will earn me an extra $0.26 annually.

These are all the companies that paid me dividends in March amounting to $162.76. This is my second best month to date!

My dividends year over year in March increased from $41.21 to $162.76. This was a 294.95% increase year over year!

I’ve still been trying to get myself back on my feet after purchasing my house, so again last month there was very little changes to my portfolio. I did add 10 shares of PPG which will earn me another $16.00 annually. This addition brings my annual dividends to $1,306.198 and my average monthly dividends to $108.84.

I’m still extremely far behind on my portfolio contributions. I’m now behind 10 contributions totaling $4,400. April will be the first month that I start receiving normal paychecks again since returning from disability. I will finally be able to start catching up on the 10 contributions I’m behind. I still have a bunch of things I need to buy for the house so trying to find a balance the next few months should be interesting. But at the very least I’ll be able to start contributing again and not let myself get any further behind.

Rental Property: $550

I received $550 for March’s rent but from here on out the rent will be $650.

  1. Nice income. It’s always good to see that the income has increased compared to last year. Year over year increase is always important, well done.

  2. Wow, you’ve got a lot of value here. Cheers and way to be unstoppable!

  3. Do not hold any of these however my portfolio returned 1050.00 in dividends in March and additional 1k in stock sales. Your style of investing is different from mine. Stock/Fund must pay a dividend, monthly if possible and have options. All dividends are re invested. I buy 100 share minimum at a time. Heavy into REITS, Utility, U.S and INTL. funds.

  4. Way cool! Some very valid points! I appreciate you penning this article and also the rest of the website is also really good.
